What is this Eberron you speak of? I have not heard of this world much.

What do you expect to happen in this world?

How do people prepare for battle?

Eberron is the new WOTC campaign setting. It is the result of the campaign setting search they ran a few years ago.

I see!! So this is the world that was submitted by the public and chosen by WOTC. COOL!!!!!

Let me know how you guys are faring in the new world. I have seen the book some at da Shoe's and it looks like travel via any public magic transport will be quite expensive.

Not a very good way to encourage people to not use Teleport or just walk everywhere again.

My understanding is that we'll be concentrating our travels to one metropolis, at least early on, so pricey mass transit shouldn't be an issue for awhile.

This is a new campaign setting that hasn't been released yet, so it would make sense that Bonzo and Raz would have such questions.

Wink

Perhaps the Wednesday night group will want to integrate this setting into their current sessions? What system are you running right now? FR? One of Shoe's own designs? Something else?

I can never quite tell where we are with our Wednesday group. I know we aren't at the Realms or Greyhawk, but I can't tell if this is still his Dungeon World, Aldurian, or some other Magic advanced world.

All I know is that I like it. I play a dude that makes magic goodies and can make items spiffy for his companions.

I wish I had a better AC though.

Hehehe.

I like alot of the Eberron specific things. It has a sorta Final Fantasy feel to it with the flying ships and light rail transit system. It's kinda cool.

It is TOTALLY a Final Fantasy setting! Final Fantasy 3 (USA) to be exact. I am so very pumped about it. So very pumped... Very Happy

Why #3 exactly? I always thought from the advertisements that they were all more or less the same game world?

Final Fantasy in same world?

Pretty much each Final Fantasy game is set in it's own world. I don't think any of them use the same world, or very few if any.

Yeah, all of the FF's are set in a different world with different magic, powers, etc. So 3 most closely matches up to Eberron.

Just remember that airships and the like are all run by slavers. They bind up elementals and make them work long hard hours with no benefits.

very true. but then, should anyone care about the feelings of elementals?

maybe someone should start the "elementals have feelings too!" campaign
