What kind of system are we using for the board server? How's it doing on capacity? (What with the multiple boards and increase in traffic..)

Machine stats:

PII 333.275 (as according to /proc/cpuinfo)

Internal network connection is a 100MB switched setup.

However, our uplink is a 768Kbps / 384Kbps (really I'm trying to get a good reason to convince the roommates to upgrade to a 1.5/1.5 Mbps connection... it's only ~$120 more a month Twisted Evil)

As for space... well the likelyhood of our running out of space is rather infinitesimal considering the type of use this machine gets.

Current space that the DB can consume is ~5.1GB and that has to be shared between all the different DBs that we currently run (not just CampaignHQ, but my Dad has one, and Keyser has 2 [all of these are forums]). Everytime I think about integrating the campaign sites into the forums more I keep going back to a DB design as well so if that ever happens there's another one and however many others the users request.

We currently only consume ~6.3MB of space with the DB. Lots of room.

As for memory, we've got 96MB of RAM and > 100MB of swap space of which we really aren't using all that much as Linux loads a decent amount into RAM and then just shares it very efficently.

System load is generally ~95 - 98% idle.

I think we're doing just fine Cool

Of course, I do kinda think it would be a good idea for me and the other "owners" of the machine to think about getting a RAID system (perhaps a cheap IDE RAID... I've finally figured out it's use) on it so we've got a bit more redundancy. Besides going that way I can use some nifty partitioning schemes and would be able to fairly easily grow areas without as much hassle as I would have right now. But that isn't the question.
