Here's this idea.

He is a Warforged created by House Cannith in the depths of Sharn(meaning he is illegal). They are slowly trying to build a small, brutal strike force. The plan they have for this particular Warforged is to turn him into a Warforged Juggernaut. However, this Warforged has no desire whatsoever to become a Warforged Juggernaut. He would rather lead a secluded life in nature, marveling at nature. Unfortunately, to ensure his loyalty, House Cannith has placed a component in him that will disable him upon a command from certain high-placed members of the House from any distance, anywhere in Eberron. The Warforged needs to be let loose to roam in the city, to hone it's fighting skills where no one else can see. But of course that is dangerous, letting a newly created Warforged into the city. Unless you have a fall guy. A young man who has proved very loyal to the house, with a great deal of potential , though only possessing a least dragonmark, has taken on the task of finding a fall guy. This young man, Silvius, is in charge of making sure the Warforged get's tempered into a force of destruction, and that if this Warforged is discovered to be an illegal creation, someone of little importance to the House takes the fall. If only Silvius could find someone like that...

1) Warforged Juggernaut

Str 16 Dex 10 Con 18 Int 10 Wis 10 Cha 6

Complete with kick-ass Warforged traits.

1st Fighter - Adamantine Body, Exotic Weapon Proficiency(Warmace)
2nd Fighter - Power Attack
3rd Fighter - Cleave

So, I'd be starting the campaign with an AC 18(or more if I use a shield, maybe 20), damage reduction 2/adamantine, move speed 20, and a damage of 1d12 + 3(up to 1d12 + 10 if I two-hand the puppy with full power attack). Progression follows as such:

4th Fighter - Improved Bull Rush (+1 Str)
5th Fighter
6th Warforged Juggernaut - Weapon Focus(Warmace), Armor Spikes 1d6, Powerful Charge, Expert Bull Rush, reserved
7th Warforged Juggernaut - bonus on charge +1, immune to non-lethal damage and critical hits
8th Warforged Juggernaut - Immune to mind-affecting spells and effects, healing immunity, Superior Bull Rush(+1 Str)
9th Warforged Juggernaut - Shock Trooper, Armor Spikes 1d8, bonus on charge +2, immune to death and necromantic effects
10th Warforged Juggernaut - No ability damage or drain, greater powerful charge
11th Exotic Weapons Master - Uncanny Blow\
12th Fighter - WEapon Specialization(Warmace), Great Cleave (+1 Con)

So, by 12th, I deal 1d12 + 8 with my normal hit(which I will never use). When charging, I gain a +4 to hit, and can drop my AC by 12 and two-hand my warmace to do 1d12 + 36 + 2d6 without sacrificing any ability to hit.

So, there's that guy.

AFter a little more research, I have determined that the Shifter will have to wait until a few things about that race have been cleared up. So, it looks like we're going Warforged. I am probably, then, going with this orignal idea of the Juggernaut. Unless anyone has some wicked-cool angle on the Warforged Soulknife.

With this build, though, I have determined that I need to use something besides the Warmace. It's description says that when wielding it you take a -1 AC penalty due to the weapon's weight. (Which is really stupid for a few reasons. a> It wieghs 10 lbs, which is only two more than a heavy mace b>it can, i bleieve, be used two-handed without exotic proficiency, and their are other two-handed weapons that weigh more c>the maul, listed on the same page of the CW, does less damage, has no drawback of this ilk, and weighs 20 lbs.) So, if I go with this dude, what weapon should I use? I've been thinking of either the Maul, or maybe the Dire Pick. Or just a good old Greataxe. Who knows?

Nathan

I am leaning towards Greataxe. I am also thinking of switching up some of the feats I'm taking during the progression. Just dunno what to do...

Should I focus on a high AC and lots of hit points, or on dealing large amounts of damage in a short period of time?

Get lots of HP and deal lots of Damage. I have seen first hand of serveral characters that can do lots of damage and they always seem to win out in a battle. You just have to have enough hit points to stand toe to toe and take a couple of spells.

Definitely go juggernaught! Yeah!

What are the feat trees you're looking at for HPs vs damage dealing? Power Attack is a must, and Cleave should be in there. Hell, you could even go with Improved Sunder if so desired. Combat Brute would be another fun choice off of that. But I digress...

Why greataxe? Any particular reason? Just curious...

Don't try to be too much of an AC-monkey, just concentrate on hitting things hard and often.

Well, after talking with Stevie, I am going to take

1) Adamantine Body, Power Attack
2) Weapon Focus(whatever)
3) Cleave
4) Imp. Bull Rush
6) Shock Trooper
9) Weapon Specialization(whatever)
11) Improved Sunder(I am taking a level of fighter here instead of Exotic Weapon Master)
12) Combat Brute

That's where I'm a lookin' right now. Beat shit up until it is in a state of dead. I am delaying Weapon Spec. because I can get more one shot damage out of Shock Trooper, in that Shock Trooper greatly increases my chances of hitting with one specific attack.

Right now it has the most bang for the buck. I could go Maul two-handed instead, but it only does 1d10 damage. And look at the picture of the Warforged Juggernaut in the book. He's got an axe. Would you %*#@ with him? I wouldn't.

I came to the same conclusion, fellas. Opponents are gonna eat my axe. Or something.

Sounds good, Nathan. I'm especially fond of Combat Brute.

Are you starting at level 2 or 3?

Combat Brute, huh? I am a bigger fan of Shock Trooper myself.

Distant relative of storm trooper Wink Sorry, couldn't resist (the need for the connection or the shock that ya'll are wishing you could hit me with)

Unfortunately you can't sunder part of a creatures body. If you could what would the poor monk do when the enemy sunders his arm and he ends up a useless bleeding mess?!!?

The third part of Combat Brute is the best part of it, though. Take a penalty to your attack, than multiply that by 3 for your damage.? Definitely worth it.[/i]
