Then there's this one:

This Warforged was completed on the very last day before the end of The Last War. His creators were none too thrilled that they would not get to enslave their latest creation, and set him free with no money or possessions. On his own, he entered many towns, trying to find his place in the world. Wherever he went he was greeted with scorn, looked at and treated as a stupid and brutal machine. In one particular town, turned out again, he was attacked by angry villagers. With no weapon, he was doomed. Suddenly, springing into existence from his hand was a weapon of energy, glowing a bright orange. The villagers, uncertain what was happening, fled in terror. At this point, the warforged realized that the villagers were wrong. He was not some stupid brutal machine. He had a power none of them could understand, borne purely from his mind. Where they saw brutal, he was refined. Where they saw slow, he was quick. There they saw a machine, he was a person. And he would show them that, whether they wanted to see or not.

2) Warforged Soulknife

Str 14 Dex 14 Con 16 Int 10 Wis 13 Cha 6

Complete with kick-ass Warforged traits.

1st Soulknife - Mithral Body, Mindblade 1d6, Weapon Focus(mindblade), Wild Talent
2nd Soulknife - Throw mindblade
3rd Soulknife - Psychic Strike +1d8, Psionic Weapon

So, at this point we have an AC 17, doing 1d6 + 2 normally, and 3d6 + 1d8 +2 on a super attack with a move speed of 30ft. Progression such as follows:

4th Soulknife - +1 mindblade (+1 Dex)
5th Soulknife - Free draw, shape mindlbade
6th Souknife - Psionic Meditation, Mindblade enhancement +1, Speed of Thought
7th Soulknife - Psychic Strike +2d8
8th Soulknife - +2 mindblade (+1 Dex)
9th Soulknife - Greater Psionic Weapon, Bladewind, Greater Weapon Focus(mindblade)
10th Soulknife - Mindblade enhancement +2
11th Soulknife - Psychic Strike +3d8
12th Soulknife - Deep Impact, +3 mindblade (+1 Wis)

So, by 12th I deal 1d6 + 5(with a +2 enhancement) normally, with a 1d10 +6 +4d6 +3d8 as a touch attack on a super attack, with a move speed of 40ft(until I make the super attack).

So there's that guy.

Keep in mind that Psionic Weapon and Deep Impact both involve sacking your focus in order to use them. Unless you buy a focus crystal or take some levels of psion to schizm yourself (or whatever Jesse does ad nauseum in Shoe's campaign), you'll only be able to pull one off in a round, thus slightly nerfing your "super attack" (either losing the 2d6/4d6 from Psionic Weapon/Greater Psionic Weapon or making a regular melee attack instead of a Deep Impact touch attack).

That said, it's still a fun class, especially at 13 with knife to the soul.

Does one of the abilities that force you to sack you focus hang around until discharged or something? That would mean you'd be able to do them both... Very Happy

Looks strong, Star. I'm a sucker for Dervishs, though... Razz

Per Jesse's earlier posts and comments, I would think a dervish would be near impossible to justify for the scenario he wants.

Both abilities require the focus to be sacked on that attack.

Where Deep Impact is really great is with knife to the soul: 3-5 Wis/Int/Cha damage as a touch attack? Brutal.

You can play a Dervish. Nothing against that. It's just gotta be a dervish that starts out in Sharn. Who's to say where you end up. The entire party might decide they don't like Sharn and want to leave. Never know.
