Hi Folks!

I'm looking at http://www.oxygenxml.com (Nice XML editor, lots of features including DocBook support), partly because it's got a "Save to FTP location" capability. Catch is that

Quote:

The FTP part is using passive access to the FTP servers. Make sure the server you are trying to connect to is supporting passive connections.

Is this something that's supported on this server?

Thanks!

I disabled FTP access back when we did our last major upgrade. We only support SCP now as I hate unencrypted data passing that deals with user account information. The only thing that doesn't have an encrypted option for user account access is sending mail through our server as the authentication agent we use doesn't support SSL Sad

Heck, you can even browse these forums with SSL enabled if you want. Note, however, that if you do so you will end up getting warnings about unencrypted content should someone actually link graphics and such.

Please see http://www.bardicgrove.org/userservices for stuff we do and don't allow.
