What material things does your character long for? Weapons? Land? Wealth to gaze upon? Magics to wield?

Be verbose, and if you like you can include game information as well as the descripion.

500xp if done by 10/22, 300xp if done by 10/29.

Moriar's life ambition is to construct the worlds finest Shield Guardian. Initially, I was considering making a Construct maker Prestige Class. But alas the Lore Master is close enough. I will focus on discovering construction methods and the like. I have taken all the necessary skill to begin the project. I would also like to research the possibility of making improvement to it as I grow in power.

As for land, well that is the trait of narrow minded men. To claim reign over an area is to invite disaster. Better to be free of such attachments.

Staves, Cloaks, Scrolls. I will take them as they come my way. Tomb of Intelligence maybe. Anyways, there is always more to want. For now I will focus on the Shield Guardian.

Perhaps eventually I will establish Dwarven magic as a force within all realms. Too long has the might of Dwarven wizardry been obscurred the the rants of men and elves.

More likely I will go mad and help the winds of fate destroy their own creations.

'Don't you see, everything is false. The Gods themselves are but fleeting impressions of the drunkards of old. Kings die every year, and for what. For what I... um where are you going?'

I will be satisfied with no less than wine, women and adventure. Where those can be had you will likely find me having fun.

Good wine is indicative of a superior intelligence, just look at the dribble they pass off as wine in most taverns, which by no small consequence are completely overrun with the worst sorts of characters. When I take my liesure you will not find me in some rat infested frontier room, but rather in a private room at a refined gentleman's club.

Good women follow good wine more oft than not. The two are the foremost pillars of any man's contentment without which he falls into a disagreeable state of crankiness that quickly becomes offensive and impossible to endure.

What more could one want from this life then? Well, it would be intolerably boring --as strange as it will sound-- to only ever be drinking and whoring. For a well rounded life experience every man must seek out his destiny, challenge his abilities and seek to overcome his inner demons just as he would any demon. Don't mistake this adventurous spirit with a death wish or foolish judgement. The right adventure concludes each day with the right libations and the right company.

Land cannot bring you these things, at least not directly. Neither can fame or renown. Magic is only a tool that might give you the illusion of enjoyment but is empty beyond that. But wealth, ahh wealth, it is what makes the world go round. It can bring you all of these things and more.

But be careful in your cravings for no dead man enjoys wine, women, or wealth.

M'rik would like to be able to destroy evil creatures and especially the undead. Things that would make this easier such as holy, disruption, or bane weapons would be bonus to him. He would also like to be better at turning the undead so things like Charisma enhancements or Amulet of undead turning. Things that would increase his wisdom, healing skills, and better armor class would also be important to him. Wealth goes into the areas of making him a better adventurer. The rolls that M'rik has been getting in combat lately maybe a flying, invisible healer would be better off to the party.

M'rik is not greedy. 10% of all of his gold goes directly back to the church. There wasn't any reason for him to put the Pact Ring on. Not out of greed anyway, but more out of wanting to save the party the 600gp to have it analyzed. (I still can't think of any half plausible idea to explain why he would have done it. I did not understand that the ring was made out of bone, the character M'rik would never of put a ring like that on, that was way out of character. )

M'rik has gone through an early mid-life crisis as of late, but has no intention of going off and buying land or any thing like that.

Now that I understand where you're headed with this I can give you few interesting tidbits about Morgan.

Anything that keeps him alive is a good thing. That broadens the playing field a bit doesn't it. Boots of haste, rings of wishes, items that increase dexterity, magical weapons and armor, etc. Money and jewels are nice to have, as well.

I'll have to think if there's one specific thing that he really wants more than the rest.

Previous to our encounter with the Ilithid and the Ogre Magi, I had heard there were weapons that were direct links to the power of deieties. Now I know. I have felt the Unholy power of our enemies. The blade of the Ogre Mage was a link to the primal evil that opposes us. I feel that pelor will heed the need of his servants and grace either father M'ric or I with a similar weapon to fight these evil beasts and root out their lairs.

Pelor grant me this boon, enchant my weapon with your Holy Power and let me smite thine enemies with it!

Farther down the list of wants and needs would be better protection of from our enemies, increasing the enchantment of my armor, strengthening my arm to deliver more of Pelor's justice to evil doers, and possiblely some force of magic to cure me of my natural clumsiness, that has been my curse from childhood.
